John McNally
John.McNally@FacilitateGlobal.org
John was exposed to many different influences in his formative years, having spent time at a boarding school in India and seeing the turbulent transition to democracy in South Africa at first hand.
He graduated with a First Class degree in Political Science from Cambridge University, specialising in Global Security. He then moved to Singapore, where he served as an Assistant Superintendent of Police, going on to hold other positions in the Government, before returning to the UK after 12 years in Asia.
John has a great passion for life and making a difference in the lives of others. He volunteered in Pakistan's North West Frontier after the 2005 earthquake, living in a refugee camp and working with local NGOs and authorities to rebuild homes for victims and restart their livelihoods.
John is active in grassroots campaigning and consultation and encouraging political participation. He believes that change comes from empowering individuals and communities with the tools to take charge of their lives.
